Rape Recovery Center Services

24-Hour Crisis Line: Staff members and certified volunteers provide crisis intervention, advocacy, and emotional support to primary and secondary sexual assault survivors 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

24-Hour Hospital Response Team: Staff members and certified volunteers provide crisis intervention and advocacy to survivors in hospitals. Survivors receive crisis intervention and are supported emotionally through the medical examination and investigation process.

Professional Therapy Services:Individual and group therapy, provided by our licensed clinicians, helps survivors work through the healing process in a safe and confidential setting. Therapy services are also available for friends and family (secondary survivors) who have been impacted by a loved one's experience of sexual violence.

Support Groups: Groups are lead by clinicians who guide survivors as they cope with issues of sexual assault and begin the healing process. The goal of our support groups is to provide a safe environment where participants can learn from each other and take positive steps towards healing.

Preventive Community Education: Professional staff and volunteer advocates work within the community to educate groups about the causes, impact and prevention of sexual assault.

Volunteer Training Program: Volunteers are an integral part of the Rape Recovery Center's ability to provide no-fee services to the community. These intensive training sessions are held 3-4 times each year. Trainees learn about sexual assault, the legal and medical systems a survivor may encounter, and receive training in crisis intervention.

Advocacy: We advocate for survivors of sexual assault through counseling, and guidance through the medical and legal systems. We provide referrals and connections to other community agencies which can assist with the recovery process.
