Julian Moon graduated from Loyola Marymount University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts in Screenwriting. She returned to school to pursue a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and is currently finishing up her final year in the program, while interning at The Rape Recovery Center on the clinical team. She chose to intern at the Rape Recovery Center because she believes in this work and what the agency provides to Salt Lake County.
When asked why she would like to be a therapist, she stated, “I chose to go back to school for CMHC because I want to create a career that's dedicated to helping the world and I believe that the world desperately needs people who can offer support to others as they heal from trauma stemming from sexual violence and interpersonal violence. I am passionate about this work because I know so many people close to me who are affected by sexual violence. I was tired of feeling helpless and wanted to find a way to be helpful and genuinely supportive.”
Her hobbies are cooking, dancing, coffee, playing music, writing, animals and walking.
