Masha joined the Rape Recovery Center as a volunteer in May 2018, and was hired onto the Hospital Recovery Team in September 2018. Previously, she worked as a survivor advocate in New Orleans for four years. She is Russian, speaks Russian fluently, and understands Slavic cultures very well. She enjoys working one-on-one with survivors and patients and is extremely passionate about supporting local communities.
In addition to working as a survivor advocate with the Rape Recovery Center, she works full time in clinical research at the University of Utah, and spends the rest of her time volunteering, gardening, studying, chasing her cats around, or tailoring wardrobes.
