hospital response Advocate
Megan has spent the last five years working as an advocate in multiple capacities. She spent four years working as a staff member and mentor at a local youth substance abuse treatment center and has volunteered with several youth groups and crisis centers. Most recently, she has been working as a grant writer and development coordinator for a local nonprofit, where she is advocating and fundraising for improved access to the arts for marginalized communities in Salt Lake City. Megan joined the Rape Recovery Center as a Hospital Response Team Advocate in August 2017 in addition to her day job. She has enjoyed engaging with people in need on a one-to-one basis again, even if it is only a couple nights a week.
