The RRC is Hiring a New Executive Director

The Rape Recovery Center is hiring a new Executive Director! To learn more about the position, check out our careers page here. Read on for a message from our current Executive Director, Mara Haight:

Hello Friends and Community Partners,

After nearly 8 years at the Rape Recovery Center, and 4 years as the Center's Executive Director, I have decided to resign my position with the RRC. This was an extremely difficult decision, as I love the center so deeply and value the community that supports the RRC so very much. It has been such an honor to be part of this incredible community, and I look forward to finding new ways to support the RRC and the work that we all do together after I am no longer in this role.

As many of you know, the RRC has grown immensely over the past few years. We are in such an exciting time in this movement to end sexual violence, and I believe the center is ready for new energy and new ideas. We have an amazing staff, an incredible leadership team, and a stable infrastructure. I believe what we need now is a visionary leader who can find new ways to meet the opportunities that come with growth. I am proud of all the work I have done with my teams over the past 8 years, and am ready now to focus on my career as a therapist. I will be moving into practice as a clinician full-time, with a continued focus on working with trauma survivors.

Our goal is to have a new Executive Director early 2020, so I hope you will all help spread the word so that together we find the right person to lead the RRC in it's next chapter. I have committed to staying at the center until a smooth transition is complete, and look forward to continuing this work in the coming months.

Warmly,

Mara Haight
