Olga Hernandez-Favela

Hospital advocate

Olga is currently a student at the University of Utah and is part of the Gender Studies and Economics programs, with an expected graduation date of Spring 2018. Her background and interests are in social justice work; focusing on working directly with and learning from marginalized populations to create equity. Olga has extensive experience working through the avenues of policy, research, and praxis.

Olga joined the Rape Recovery Center in 2016, as an intern on the Outreach and Education Team and was hired as a staff member in 2017. Olga currently a member of the Hospital Response Team working as an advocate.In her work at the Rape Recovery Center her hope is to center the voices of community members and create more space for communities within our work.

In addition to her work at the RRC, Olga likes to read, loves movies, and is currently enjoying trying her hand at baking.
