
February is Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month! Teen DV Month is a national effort to raise awareness about abuse in teen relationships. According to the Utah Department of Health (2013) out of students who had dated 22.7% reported being verbally or emotionally harmed, and 1 in 4 student reported some type of dating violence. Dating Violence is defined as physical, sexual or psychological/emotional violence within a relationship. It can occur to anyone and if not addressed can have long lasting effects.
