Join the Downtown Artist Collective and the Rape Recovery Center for an evening of art, expression, and healing.
You do not have to attend the first workshop to join the second, but we welcome those who are able to!
These workshops will focus on healing through art, exploring identity, and sharing our voices in honor of sexual assault awareness month. Participants will focus on their identity as humans and finding their voice through writing, painting, and drawing.
Part One of this series, on April 14th, will focus on finding your voice through writing. This drop-in style workshop will conclude with an open mic from 6-8pm.
Part Two of this series, on April 28th, will focus on the creative process of finding your voice through the visual arts. Participants can create an individual art piece, as well as contribute to a community piece that will be part of the Rape Recovery Center’s Healing Gala in June.
