Kite Festival at the Peak

  • Peak Sports & Entertainment Complex 2930 Utah 112 Grantsville, UT, 84029 United States (map)

Get ready to take to the skies! Tooele County Parks & Recreation is excited to invite the community to the first-ever Kite Festival at the Peak, a special event in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month. This family-friendly celebration will be held at the Peak Sports & Entertainment Complex on May 31, 2025, from 10 AM to 2 PM.

Rise to the Peak and Reach New Heights of Well-Being!

This year’s festival theme is “Rise to the Peak and Reach New Heights of Well-Being.” Like a kite soaring high, we can all strive for greater mental wellness, positivity, and resilience. Join us for a day of uplifting activities encouraging mindfulness, creativity, and community connection.

Free Kites for the First 250 Participants!

The first 250 attendees will receive a free kite to decorate and fly, making this a creative and uplifting experience for all ages. Whether you’re a seasoned kite flyer or trying it for the first time, this is the perfect opportunity to watch the skies fill with color and movement.

A Meaningful Partnership

Tooele County Parks & Recreation has partnered with Tooele County Human Services and the Tooele County Health Department to promote mental well-being through kite flying. Taking a moment to enjoy fresh air, creativity, and community connection can have a powerful impact on mental health, and what better way to do that than by flying a kite?

Fun for the Whole Family

In addition to kite flying, the festival will feature:

  1. Competitions for the most creative kite designs and highest flyers

  2. Food trucks offering delicious local treats

  3. Informational booths with resources on mental health and wellness

  4. Interactive activities for kids and families

This is a free event designed to bring the community together in a fun and positive way. Bring your family, bring your friends, and let’s fill the sky with hope and color!

Mark your calendars for May 31st, and we’ll see you at the Kite Festival at the Peak!
