Healing is Justice

For 51 years, the Rape Recovery Center has stood as a place of strength, healing, and belonging for survivors across Salt Lake and Tooele counties. From a volunteer-run hotline to a statewide leader in trauma-informed care, our work has always been rooted in the community. And that community includes you.

In the past five years, we’ve seen a 150% increase in survivors seeking support—people from every walk of life navigating barriers like stigma of reporting and seeking support in small rural communities, incarceration, PTSD after serving in the military, immigration concerns, housing instability, and lack of culturally or linguistically appropriate services.

We see people from all walks of life impacted by sexual violence in our communities daily.

We responded with care and intention:

• Expanding direct services in Tooele County

• Increasing support for incarcerated survivors

• Strengthening mobile crisis response

• Offering bilingual therapy and group healing spaces

The need continues to grow as awareness and support enable more survivors to come forward – we continue to need your support to meet it.
