SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH — July 28, 2025 — The Rape Recovery Center is proud to announce Gary Scheller as our new Executive Director. Gary has served as our Associate Director since October 2024, bringing with him a deep commitment to our mission and a proven track record in leadership and victim services. He steps into this role at a critical time, when survivor-centered support and social change are more essential than ever.
ABOUT GARY SCHELLER
Gary brings decades of experience in victim advocacy, executive leadership, and systems-level change. Before joining the Rape Recovery Center, he served as the Director of the Utah Office for Victims of Crime, where he led statewide initiatives focused on trauma-informed care, equity, and access to services. Throughout his career, Gary has been a steadfast advocate for survivors, working to ensure that all individuals have the support, safety, and resources they need to heal. His leadership is grounded in collaboration, accountability, and a vision for a future free from sexual violence.
