RRC LAUNCHES PEER ADVOCACY COUNCIL FOR ACADEMIC YEAR 2026-2027
Salt Lake City, UT - The Rape Recovery Center is excited to announce the launch of its 2026-2027 Peer Advocacy Council (PAC), a free leadership and prevention initiative for local high school students
Peer Advocacy Council (PAC) is a group for 9th–12th graders who work together to explore building healthy relationships, setting boundaries, responding when violence happens, and preventing violence before it starts. Through PAC, youth practice skills that empower them to lead these important conversations with their peers and communities. This free leadership program equips high school students across Salt Lake County with the tools to create positive change in their communities!
“Salt Lake’s teens are crucial to creating safe communities,” said Kiva Call-Feit, Prevention Coordinator at the Rape Recovery Center. “PAC gives students practical tools to build healthy relationships, support their peers, and speak up when they see harm. Learning these skills gives them the opportunity to model intentional advocacy in their circles.”
